The Vidyalaya was started in 1984 in Guntakal with the classes I to V.
Gradually it has been upgraded up to class- X. Present Strength is 382 running with single section. It is civil special school sponsored by South Central Railway, Guntakal Division, Guttural.
The Chairman of the Vidyalaya is Divisional Railway Manager, S.C.Railway, Guntakal.
The accommodation for the staff and maintenance of the Vidyalaya is taken up by the Sponsoring Agency.

Vidyalaya is located at the Railway Colony, Prabhathnagar.
It is 2 km away from the Railway Station and 4 km away from the bus station.
It is nearby Railway Guest House, spread in 16.4 acres.
